TIKI BEACH - Enjoy your own private Florida Keys ocean at the enclosed Tiki Beach. The swimming beach is fed straight from the ocean, raising and lowering with the tides, and is a Florida Keys attraction found exclusively at Hawks Cay. PIRATE SHIP POOL - The Pirate Ship Pool gives kids a place to explore, splash around and interact with other children. Hawks Cay's kids' pool features slides, water cannons, raining palm trees and shallow areas for new swimmers. When it's time to dry off, head to the Coral Grill for lunch and the Coral Cay Club for video games, sand volleyball and more.CORAL CAY POOL - The Coral Cay Pool is located adjacent to the Pirate Ship pool so families can easily take advantage of both swimming experiences. The pool is surrounded by pristinely manicured palm trees and shadowed by canopies of lush banyan trees. The nearby Coral Grill provides snacks and refreshments while morning fitness classes like yoga take advantage of the pool's serene location.

The unique arrangement of limestone islands serves as a gateway to the Dry Tortugas and puts anglers right in the heart of epic fishing grounds. But, if you're heading out to catch mahi mahi, blackfin tuna or any specific species, make sure to check out our Florida Keys fishing calendar before planning your next trip. Backcountry FishingOn one side of Duck Key, anglers can easily access the Florida Bay for backcountry fishing. Some of the most sought-after game fish around can be caught here, including Tarpon, Redfish, Bonefish, Permit and Snook.Offshore FishingBoat past the Florida Bay toward the Gulf of Mexico or head east toward the Atlantic Ocean for deep sea fishing in the Florida Keys. Here, anglers will find both light tackle and big game fish like Yellowtail Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Sailfish and Swordfish. Unique to the Keys is daytime swordfishing which is a relatively new technique explained in Saltwater Sportman.

FLORIDA KEYS SCUBA DIVING: With crystal clear waters and tropical weather year-round, some of the best scuba diving in the Florida Keys can be found in Duck Key. Nowhere else is the Great Florida Reef so accessible for both novice and experienced divers than at Hawks Cay Resort.Scuba Diving Vacations at Hawks CayWhen it comes to scuba diving vacations, Better Than Most SCUBA, located on property at the beautiful Hawks Cay Resort, has you covered. Beginners can get their feet wet in an intro class in our heated pool, followed by an instructor-led, open water experience on the beautiful coral reef. Meanwhile, more experienced divers can choose from a variety of programs, including advanced and rescue certification, and specialty excursions such as lobster dives and spearfishing. We also offer refresher courses and check-out dives for divers who are between levels. All of our scuba diving instructors are highly trained and skilled professionals, qualified to certify students to PADI and SDI standards, as well as any other dive agency with Universal Referrals.Additional InformationAll scuba diving trips are two tank reef trips unless otherwise noted. Better Than Most will always take divers to two different reef locations in the Florida Keys so they can see the variety of life that the area has to offer.If you are looking for a more advanced dive, spearfishing, or lobstering please give us a call ahead of time and we will do our best to get it on the schedule for you!
