Built in 1874 as Caffey's Inlet Lifesaving Station No. 5, the newly renovated Lifesaving Station pays homage to its history, while offering a resort casual inviting menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
A local favorite celebrating southern coastal cuisine and regional, organic products indoors and out.
The menu changes seasonally, while the wine and beer lists are always impressive.

Sandbar

Located between the Resort and Tranquility Pools just steps from the beach, the Sandbar is the perfect spot for refreshing drinks and beach bites while enjoying the sunshine. Open seasonally.

With its bar and adjacent deck, The Sandbar offers casual oceanside dining featuring small plates, salads, sandwiches, tacos, wings, hot dogs and burgers. Enjoy specialty cocktails, frozen drinks, house wines, or local beers, while relaxing poolside with food and drink service to both pools. 
Perfect for families, it also features live music, flat-screen TVs for sports fans and a welcoming atmoshere for a fun outing.

Theodosia

Chef Vivian Howard Arrives at The Sanderling Resort!

A North Carolina native, award-winning chef, and New York Times best-selling author Vivian Howard will introduce her latest culinary concept, Theodosia, at The Sanderling Resort this summer. Every aspect of this new dining destination will draw inspiration from the culture and history of the Outer Banks and connect diners to a unique place and time.

Theodosia will welcome guests to a dining room dressed in rich, feminine textures, where views of the horizon meeting the Currituck Sound feel endless, and soft lighting invites quiet conversation. The menu will tell a story of the area’s salt marshes and fishing boats, of recipes passed down and flavors inspired by the island setting, all showcasing Howard’s penchant for innovative Southern fare.

Slated to open Memorial Day weekend, Theodosia will become the anchor of The Sanderling’s culinary experience.
