Navigator Fan

January

Pros: Smaller ship with tons of bells and whistles

Cons: Beds were a little hard for our liking

Recommended: Yes

This was our second sailing on Navigator and she did not disappoint. We had one of the newer rooms on Deck 12 and we LOVED the space!! Food was excellent as were our favorite bartenders at Playmakers. This ship is all the bang for your buck when it comes to this class ship. Entertainment was really good as well.

Love cruising

October

Pros: Entertainment

Cons: Cold, don’t clean tables

The entertainment is above a ten. I was cold the whole trip. Always have to wear a sweater. The vents in the cabin were dirty. Had a sore throat every morning cleared up when not in cabin.

Navigator OTS is a beautiful, fun ship… just the right size!

October

Pros: Great entertainment and activities for all ages. Fun game shows, quizzes, music

Cons: MDR food… eh. Great service though. Beds are not comfortable.

Recommended: Yes

I wanted to take my grandson on a cruise and definitely picked the right ship for that. Our State room attendant was so attentive to him and made really cute animals every night and made sure he touched base with him several times during the trip, our assistant waiter made paper airplanes, and origami birds. I cannot say enough about the crew on this ship . There is so much to do, we didn’t have time to do it all, but we all had the time of our lives. Loved Playmakers food and the Coke freestyle machines. Crazy Quest was a blast. Royal theatre shows were AWESOME. Kids Club was awesome, Peyton loved it.

Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas

May

Pros: Clean room and clean common areas of the ship. Amazing dining service and lots of options for food. Amazing room steward who went above and beyond. Kids club staff was amazing and my kids loved going to Adventure Ocean.

Cons: Windjammer food tasted less quality than the main dining room. Balcony room is small for a family of four. Gym is not open 24 hours.

Recommended: Yes

My family and I had a great experience for our first cruise! Royal Caribbean is great if you have children. The adventure ocean club is amazing and my kids begged to go to the kids club everyday. There are plenty of shows and activities to do on the ship. The ice show and comedy show were amazing! Highly recommend this cruise ship for anyone that is taking children. The gym was really nice and there was plenty of equipment to use. No

Perfect for the first timer

May

Pros: Great crew, nice and clean ship, easy first timer destinations

Cons: unlimited alcohol prices too high, not enough water bottle filling stations, 18% gratuity added to EVERYTHING

Recommended: Yes

Royal Caribbean has their stuff figured out! The boarding process was very easy and was very organized which was great for first time cruisers to figure out. The tender and disembarkation process at every port was seamless. EACH AND EVERY crew member was kind, friendly, and willing to help out with anything. They really make the environment fun, upbeat, and enjoyable. We did not come across one single crew member that was unfriendly during the course of this cruise. We enjoyed our entire time on this cruise and will absolutely choose Royal again.

Mexican Riviera

November

Pros: Service staff and main dining experience good.

Cons: Staterooms need updates. No data ports, only 2 electric outlets, balcony door hard to open, Windjammer furniture worn. Weather cool leaving LA and returning at end of December which were sea days.

Recommended: No

The main areas of the ship were in good condition but the Windjammer dining room and staterooms need updating. Ice skating shows were very nice. No conditioner or lotion provided, only shampoo. Unable to purchase any sundries on board. Had to wait to purchase item in port. There wasn’t an empty seat in the casino and smoking was permitted in there. This ship did not have the Royal Caribbean standard’s I have become accustomed too. Personally I think the Caribbean is nicer and has prettier beaches. Was disappointed in the Mexican Riviera but that is not a reflection on Royal Caribbean.

Our Fun Trip

October

Pros: Ship was clean, big focus on cleanliness! Our room was nice, and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: Hurricane Norma - missed two ports

Recommended: Yes

Hurricane Norma definitely caused issues. Missed going ashore in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta was cancelled. We stopped in Mazatlan, then headed out to get ahead of Norma. They refunded shore excursions and also gave us some refundable ship board credit. We were impressed with the service compared to another cruise line we’ve tried in the past.

Nice Quick Getaway

December

Pros: Quick, convenient and matched our travel dates available

Cons:

Recommended: Yes

This was a great long enough getaway, yet short enough to be able to get away. There were two nights they didn't have a main show entertainment, which sadden us. Normally at the buffet I can't wait to try everything. This time there was some unique different food that didn't really appeal. The taco stand and ice cream stands were great!

AWESOME WEEKEND

February

Pros: Service

Cons: Food in the main restaurant

Recommended: Yes

I have 3 suggestions: One, is to improve the food, have a better seasoning , Caribbean food with quality like ( beans, fried plantains, fried yuca, beans, Cuban food), and the other is to take into account the season in coco cay and at least heat the pool water. We could not bathe either on the beach or in the pool. The pool water was freezing. The food on the island should have better options like ribs and bake potatoes or sweet potatoes. Everything else was very good and exceptional service.

Family Thanksgiving and 65th Birthday Celebration Cruise

November

Pros: Everyone was wonderful from checking in to room service

Cons: Don't bring your Steamers they will take it away

Recommended: Yes

There's several people on staff whose names I have to mention Wilson who cleaned our room twice a day. Geovany and Smi were amazing and went above and beyond from getting to know us to offering coffee and conversation as well as giving us some important information and recommendations. I had my first real facial with Lucia who managed to put me to sleep, it was the most relaxing experience as well as very informative. There's so much to do, it's impossible to get around to everything. From Arcade games to Laser tag, ice skating, shows, water slides and so much more. I look forward to more Sailings with Royal Caribbean. It was worth every penny! Thank you Navigator of the Seas!

Cons: Felt a bit of pressure to make reservations at the ship's restaurants

Great cruise

March

Pros: Ports of call. Dining. Drinks. Staff.

Cons: Miami cruise port. Promenade. Shops. Late night dining selections

Recommended: Yes

Multiple issues prior to getting on ship and issues at port trying to get off the ship. The promenade was tiny and not used properly in my opinion. Shops should be located somewhere else to better use that area. Only one area for late night dining. Food was great but need more options.

The ABC islands and Labadee cruise

April

Pros: Good weather, pleasant crew and great food.

Cons: Some days extremely windy ashore.

Recommended: Yes

During the At-Sea days, I would have liked to see additional activities indoor, such as a nice movie, as the Pool Side large movie screen was compromised by being too windy and noisy and confused by Close-Captioning. That was not compatible with a late evening movie activity and comfort. There were available Indoor lounges, large enough to house one or two separate movies. Their Schooner Bar could have had a Pool Table and perhaps a Table Tennis Table. Just a thought !!!!!!

Survey

March

Pros: Food - Crew Service - Dining Staff

Cons: Ship Needs updating - Entertaining needs to be updated

Recommended: Yes

We made four ports, I would only recommend two of the ports. Bonaire and Haiti was not good for me. I loved Aruba and Curacao was pretty good. I had a bad experience with Chops on the ship. This is a restaurant where you have to pay and it was the worse. I also did not like the solicitors for the Mexican restaurant. I was really disappointed in the activities offered. Was the worse that I had seen. There needs to be a lot of improvement with the activities. Getting off the ship on Sunday morning was awful. Someone need to develop a new system. It is hurry up and wait. You are asked to leave your stateroom room and go stand. If you have a standing problem, or a back problem, it is not good. Also when you have paid your gratuity in advance, Why are the housekeepers leaving you and envelope for tips. I think they should be notified that you have already paid.

A Wonderful Cruise

February

Pros: Fantastic WARM holiday!!

Cons: Cut-backs?

Recommended: Yes

We enjoyed the cruise with the exception of the formal dining food. There was nothing special about it. Be aware that the Windjammer serves equal if not better food. While we ran into a fellow cruiser talking about the wonderful steak dinner with asparagus quiche we missed....sorry to tell him....we had that same thing in the Windjammer. We were disappointed to learn that RCC no longer serves afternoon tea at 3pm which included guacamole, tacos etc. The shows on the ship weren't all that great with exception of comedians they brought on board. Many people were walking out on a variety of the shows after about the first 15 minutes. The ship's staff always friendly and helpful. The ship clean which was very impressive considering all the people on board. Ships policy is no reserving/holding seats or loungers; they were held/reserved all the time but we found there were plenty to be hand without issue. The last day was a mess getting off of the ship with no organization. We were to line up in The Sapphire Room which is full of dining chairs/tables (a challenge to wheel luggage around) to get in the "so-called" line up. It turned out that those on first ended up LAST as they took folks off from other end of the line as they ended up closest to the exit door. The line should have started opposite way so those first could be first! This may sound like whining but for those having planes to catch was a tad stressful.

Fantastic way to travel

September

Pros: Beautiful and clean with tons of activities

Cons: the pool area was not kid friendly, lots of music with explicit lyrics

Recommended: Yes

Overall the experience was good. Dining, excursions and on board activites were great. However, the pools are salt water (no splashing) and the music being played had lyrics that I certainly didn't enjoy and didn't want my kids exposed to. I realize many people want a "party" vibe while on their cruise, but I contend there are plenty of songs that convey that vibe without explicit lyrics.

Navigator of the Seas

May

Pros: the ship is beautiful, great staff, great ice show, nice rooms, great speciality restaurants

Cons: Windjammer is VERY crowded and hard to navigate, average food quality in MDR

Recommended: Yes

I'm somewhat spoiled since I now usually cruise on Celebrity which tends to be a step up from RCCL. The bathroom is very small and if you drop something in the shower its hard to bend down without hitting the side of the walls in the shower.

Great Cruise

May

Pros: Food in main dining room and specialty restaurant was excellent.

Cons: Not enough rest room capacity by the pool and restaurants.

Recommended: Yes

Shows were just average. Service was outstanding in the main dining room. We had a vegetarian in our group and the head waiter stopped at our table each night to review the next days menu with her and assure that the offerings were sufficient.

Navigator of the Seas

February

Pros: Good food, good service throughout the ship, good entertainment

Cons: The bed in our room, superstructure surrounding aft facing cabins

Recommended: Yes

Good cruise, we'd go again, but would not book an aft facing cabin. The bed in our room was worn out and needs replacing.

A Beautiful Ship

December

Pros: This was the most beautiful ship we have been on and we especially enjoyed the professional Ice Dancing show. Our room was very spacious and very comfortable. Everyone on the ship was very friendly and helpful. I would go on this ship again.

Cons: Couldn't think of any.

Recommended: Yes

The ship personnel took care of the problem we had with the on board credit and pre paid gratuities not showing up on our account. They said they were having some computer problems and it should be taken care of in about 24 hours. They were very helpful and took care of the problem.

Staff review

August

Pros: Crew very helpful and friendly. Never saw crew upset.

Cons: Long lines when dis-embarking, Long wait to go to Cayman Island. To short of a time on the islands.

Recommended: Yes

Never have we had such a wonderful experience with our dinning room staff. Jean Paul, Conroy were wonderful, 10+, always smiling, explaining menus, explaining next day's activities. Our Room 8572, stateroom attendant also rates 10+, always available when we needed something, never having to ask twice for anything or just to greet us every morning.

Navigator of the Seas Family Vacation

June

Pros: Ship decor, dining room staff

Cons: Poor customer service

Recommended: No

We just returned from a week on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas, stopping in Honduras, Belize and Mexico. The ship itself was beautiful, and the food was good. However, I have to say that I would probably not choose Royal Caribbean again for a family vacation as their staff was not friendly or helpful. They were professional and polite, but not fun. The teen club was disappointing for my teens, as the activities provided did not entice many kids to stay and join in. Overall, nice trip for an older couple that wouldn't require any assistance.

Navigator of the seas Caribbean cruise

June

Pros: Excellent dining room service, excellent room steward, Texas tenors and Motown

Cons: Occasional rudeness from other staff, guest services made mistakes, spa charged more than they quoted

Recommended: Yes

I made arrangements at guest services for all charges that my 12 and 13 year old granddaughters made to be on my account, yet we were turned back as we exited the gangway at the end of the cruise because the gratuity charges for the three of us were entered to my 12 year old granddaughter which made it impossible for us to make our connections by the time we returned to guest services to straighten it out.

Cruise experience in general

April

Pros: Cost, over all experience

Cons: Crowds

Recommended: Yes

We had a good time on our cruise. Actually, we were pleasantly surprised about our cruise experience on RCL. We were a little apprehensive to start having not been on a large cruise ship in a long time. You get very spoiled on Oceania. The experience was good. The accommodations, food, entertainment and service equaled Oceania's in our opinion. The only downfalls were the kids, young adults and crowded venues but as the cruise went on we learned how to avoid them all. I would go on RCL again.
