Best of Italy and Croatia Cruise

June

Pros: Size of ship was perfect, not too big, but big enough to have plenty of space. Staff was excellent. Blu restaurant was excellent, far exceeding our expectations.

Cons: Ship is 20+ years old so shows some signs of age, but not too bad.

Recommended: Yes

For the price point and 10 ports, we felt this Celebrity cruise was very good. Celebrity pays attention to the details and it shows. Everything was well organized and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Blu restaurant staff was incredible and the food was excellent. The buffet food was plentiful and good.

Taste of Italy and Croatia

July

Pros: Great staff, solid itinerary, nice accommodations

Cons: Food was okay, challenge for people with food restrictions.

Recommended: Yes

Really nice size ship. The crew was very nice and worked hard to make our trip great. We had a tough time to accommodate a vegan diet. The crew really did not know what vegan was and presented less than appealing choices. We did have an excellent experience at the Tuscan Grill. Even the vegan option was 5 star.

Great Ship

May

Pros: The best overall staff of any cruise line or ship I have been on. From the staff that cleaned the genral area up to the captain

Cons: No cons on this ship

Recommended: Yes

The ship is in the 90,000 ton class and has a 2,100 passenger capacity. It was fully booked on our 11-day cruise of The Best of Italy and Crowas full but never seemed crowded and the food was four star. They don't allow reserving of chairs around the pool area and unlike most ships they made sure everyone was aware of that policy, and it was enforced. IN 11 DAYS, I ONLY SAW THREE CHAIRS RESERVED BY HOGS AND THE POOL ATTENDANT HAD SECURITY REMOVE THE ITEMS. Good Job. Our dining room servers Apone and Alvin were the best team we have had , and this was our 45th cruise.

Wonderful Staff Members!

April

Pros: Staff Members and Entertainment

Cons: Age of Ship and Payment Processing

Recommended: Yes

The staff members we interacted with on a regular basis were wonderful. This included the staff at breakfast, dinner, fitness area and our room. The range of entertainment was great each evening. There were plenty to choose from among the various venues. The ship is showing its age, especially the state rooms. The AC did not work well (stateroom and fitness center), the bathroom was dated and the room was extremely loud at night while trying to sleep. We ended up changing rooms after two nights of poor sleep due to excessive noise from the kitchen all night long. We were charged a full day of tips for the first day, even though the cruise didn't start until 5pm and we had to be off the ship by 7:30am the last day. Lastly, ordering simple drinks under our package (i.e.: bottle of water) always took the bartender way too long to process on their system.

Great Ship Great Service

December

Pros: Friendly attentive Staff

Cons: No Issues

Recommended: Yes

We Really enjoyed this ship and sailing. Celebrity really went all out for New Years Eve. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great dining options. Cabin in good condition. Entire ship in good condition. One thing we noticed was that the bars are inconsistent with operating hours. We wanted to go to the Martini bar. And at weird times they were not open. Besides that we had no issues.

Old Ship

February

Pros: staff great

Cons: needs to be dry docked

This ship was in such bad shape, from rust, towels that were thin and rough, balcony doors that didn't work, running out of hot water on an almost daily basis, hit and miss if you had air conditioning, beds taped together with duct tape, etc.

The Ultimate Caribbean and The Americas

January

Pros: The employees all obviously liked their work. They were well trained in their jobs; were friendly, energetic, and very helpful. Each employee with whom we interacted was proactive in his/her caretaking of customers. The San Marcos was a beautiful A-1 restaurant. My husband and I are vegetarian and vegan respectively; our meals were superb. The staff who attended to us were amazing in every regard. Table 419: Head Waiter - Nolan, Assistant Waiter - Queenter, and Sommelier - John. Our Room Attendant was Mark (Room 7081). He anticipated our every need and was always friendly and excellent at his job. The room and balcony felt like two different spaces; it felt roomy and pleasant. Obviously, the view was beautiful.

Cons: Even though we upgraded our Internet package, we found it to be lacking in service at times. We got Covid and were quarantined for the last half of the cruise. We were well cared for. I strongly urge you to require that guests show proof of two Covid vaccinations and two Covid boosters. We are fully vaccinated and boosted.

Recommended: Yes

We will definitely cruise with Celebrity again. We had a great time before we got Covid and were quarantined, Even then, we were well cared for and contacted frequently by staff via stateroom phone. The ship was very clean and all activities were well organized. There was huge diversity in terms of what was offered at any given time.

Cons: Food in the dining and buffet were alright.

Overall the trip was great-we didn't have any issues. The Dinners were okay-not great, some at our table didn't eat the food. The ship had plenty of activities to stay busy. Peurta Plata was gorgeous-

Great itinerary, service and entertainment.

June

Pros: Ports, nightly shows, food, wonderful crew

Cons: Dated ship, departure from Ravenna which is 2+ hours south of Venice.

Recommended: Yes

The ship is older so the pool and other amenities will not compete with newer ships. However, the service is excellent. We ate in the main dining room 8/10 nights as the menu changed each evening and we were always able to find something delicious. The nightly entertainment varied but we saw some wonderful performers and there was live music throughout the day in many venues. Celebrity updated our rooms to balconies which was a real saver on a cruise this long - just to be able to get fresh air into the room and dry laundry - but we did end up sitting on the balcony more than we expected. The ship was not full - we believe it was at around 70% capacity - which we also appreciated. We didn't have to wait for anything and were always able to get a dinner reservation. We spent a day in Venice before departure but if you aren't doing that I would recommend flying into Bologna which still requires a transfer but is much closer. We had rented a car in Ravenna for the return but had to take the ship transfer to the Ravenna train station then a taxi, only to learn that Hertz would have picked us up from the ship! There are NO taxis meeting the ship. The port is 20+ minutes from Ravenna and there are no services nearby.

Celebrity Constellation cruise from Tampa to Belize & Cozumel

November

Pros: Aqua Class amenities, drink package/tips included

Cons: As of 11/21 ship needs to be refurbished

Recommended: Yes

First cruise out for this ship in 20 months. Went ok, all in all. La Petit restaurant (group dinner set up by Paulette) was outstanding - a great time & great food! Shore Excursions: Jaguar Cave tube float in Belize - cave float was good. Time to get there - bus & final walk in - was too long for time spent in cave. Cozumel ruins were interesting.

Great time on a timeworn ship

February

Pros: Food, crew, amenities, Michael’s Club, Suite class perks

Cons: Chaotic embarkation, old tired decor especially in staterooms, entertainment, way to pricey spa

Recommended: Yes

Constellation is due to an entire retrofit in April of 2020 which is sorely needed especially in the staterooms. the crew bends over backwards to ensure every guest has a good time and their needs are attended to.

Cons: The location of electric outlets when 2 passengers each have a cpap machine needs to be updated

The staff went out of their way to make our cruise that more fun and relaxing. The food both in the main dining room and the specialty restaurants was fantastic. Celebrity Constellation

October

Pros: Everything we hoped for and more!

Cons: None!

Recommended: Yes

We had a wonderful trip on the Celebrity Constellation. Our room was felt spacious, the elevators never seemed full (even though the ship was full), and the food was amazing, the best food I've ever had at sea. We loved our crew and requested the same waiter each night at dinner (Prada). We thought the itinerary was one of the best we've seen for the area. The drink package was well worth it. Even the spa is a must do!! The adults-only indoor pool/hot tub solarium really came in handy this time of year. Absolutely loved our time and would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous Time on the Constellation - French Riviera and the Dalmatian Coast

November

Pros: Amazing itinerary, great staff, wonderful food!

Cons: Would have liked more options for sea day activities and more night life.

Recommended: Yes

Having recently returned from this port intensive cruise, I would highly recommend both Celebrity Cruises and this specific itinerary. The itinerary was amazing and gave me a good overall look at the area and a knowledge of many ports. There are definitely some that I would like to return and spend more time at and others that one day was enough. Life onboard the ship was good to great. Our Oceanview cabin was small, but cozy with plenty of storage space and overall very comfortable. The staff on the Constellation was simply wonderful. Everyone greeted us with a smile and a hello and made you feel like they genuinely meant it. Our room attendant was always friendly and did a great job cleaning up after us for 9 nights. My only slight complaint regarding service is in the main dining room service was not as good as I have experienced in the past, but it was not bad by any means. The food however was absolutely delicious in the main dining room as well as in the specialty restaurants! The Oceanview Cafe had a large variety of choices and the food there was also above average for a buffet. Celebrity is know for their culinary excellence and I have to agree. For a ship going into drydock for refurbishment soon, I thought she still looked wonderful. I look forward to sailing on her after the refurb to see what changes have been made. While I did have a few minor complaints, this cruise ranks for me as one of the top destinations and cruises that I have had the opportunity to take.

9 Night French Riviera & Dalmatian Coast Cruise

November

Pros: Great itinerary; Specialty Dining - Tuscan Grill; accommodating staff; nice public areas

Cons: The Constellation needed updating and is going into dry dock in 20020

Recommended: Yes

The itinerary was wonderful. We saw and experienced a lot of ports. Lots of on-board activities for a variety of interests. A multi-cultural group of passengers and we enjoyed meeting many from other countries. We enjoyed the anytime dining and found it to be easy to sit with others at the times we wanted, without waiting. A wide variety of food at the buffet, accommodating different countries and food allergies and sensitivities. The dining rooms also accommodated food allergies and sensitivities.

Cons: Cost of internet packages.

Enjoyed the trip and itinerary ports. The frustration of expensive internet was an issue. When the ship is in drydock, it would be good to have either more electrical outlets - outlets by the beds would help. Tried to not rate the entertainment as I really didn't experience it,

I belong to the Sea now

October

Pros: wonderful staff, great food, spacious accommodations with TONS of storage, lots of activities on board, plenty of updates either by the app or paper itinerary

Cons: getting back on the ship from the different ports sometimes took a while, the complimentary shuttle in some ports were hard to understand (shuttle drivers did not make themselves very approachable and there were many taxi drivers hounding the guests so it got very confusing)

Recommended: Yes

First off, I had an AMAZING trip. Almost everything on board was perfect, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our oceanview cabin as there was plenty of space for the two of us. The room also had a lot of storage space all over the place and the bathroom was a very good size. I was able to comfortably take a shower, wash my hair, hang my towel/wet bathing suites, and even relax and do a (sub par) facial treatment! I had a great experience in the cabin. In addition to our cabin, our attendant was so great! John was very pleasant every time he saw us and made sure to see how we were doing, asked about our day, made sure the cabin was taken care of and even when we saw him in the port he made sure to call out to us (by name I might add) and give us some tips in the different area, he was so great and very much appreciated! The food on board was fantastic! I am a vegetarian and I found plenty to eat--and it showed when I got on the scale back home! The buffet at oceanview cafe has a lot of food stations that change per meal per day with a few stations that stay the same. The main dining room, San Marco Grill has comfortably elegant decor but a relaxed feel as the attire does not have to be formal--although there were many individuals who wanted to be a bit more fancy on some nights and looked very elegant but not out of place. The menu changes daily but does have a few items that are stationary. For the specialty dining, Le Petit Chef (& Friends) was outstanding! What a fantastic and interactive idea that is both dinner and a show! 10/10 would recommend. One thing I wasn't too crazy about was getting back on the ship when in the different ports. Since we had to scan our cabin card and go through light security, the wait would be a little long at times. Between people who had mobility issues, cards not scanning, or simply just people with a plethora of bags to go through the security, it got to be a bit of a hassle when coming back on board even at non peek times. I think if they had more than one line going it would not have been as big of an issue but there were a few times when the wait was quite long and in some ports it was either raining or just chilly when standing outside. The one other thing I did not like was some of the complementary shuttles from the cruise dock. Specifically in Rome (Civitavecchia) the shuttle system was a mess. None of the cruise passengers really knew what to do, what shuttle to get on, who was the correct person to ask or what was going on in general. There were a few docks with similar issues so I made sure to take mental notes of this. It was a little difficult to know who the shuttle driver was as they really didn't make themselves known or even seem like they wanted to be there in the first place, so passengers were sort of just walking aimlessly onto different buses. The taxi driver's were (understandably) very aggressive and constantly running--yes, running--up to you as soon as they saw you walking to try and get you to use them. Between that and the unenthusiastic shuttle drivers, it was a bit difficult trying to make your way off the dock and into the actual city. Other than those two complaints I really have nothing bad to say. I had a wonderful time, ate lots of good food, saw some fantastic shows, danced to great music, enjoyed my time as Prince during the Halloween costume party, and will definitely make a point to not only recommend Celebrity to my clients but to also sail with them again!

Cons:

I have never been a cruise person. I have only taken two cruises before this one though and not on Celebrity. I am now looking to take another cruise. ha The staff was outstanding! At dinner and in the Rendezvous lounge. Superb! The food was terrific. That restaurant Le Petit was such a fun experience. And the food in there was great! The entertainment was delightful. May our room attendant was the sweetest girl ever. I loved the itinerary. What a way to see places. Wow. Thinking about this trip makes me want to cry. Signature Fam 9 Night French Riviera and Dalmatian Coast

October

Pros: Super Itinerary!

Cons: Weather was uncooperative a few days

Recommended: Yes

This Celebrity cruise has a wonderful itinerary to beautiful ports along the French Riviera, Italy and the Adriatic Sea. Perfect for first timers to the area, to learn where they would want to go back to spend more time. Sailing from Barcelona to Venice in the fall yielded some wonderful sunny mild days, as well as some chilly wet days. Venice in particular in November is a challenge with the high tides impacting excursions and water taxis. The excursions in Kotor, Montenegro were cancelled as we endured 100 MPH wind gusts - so tendering in was not allowed for passenger and crew safety reasons. And yet, some questioned this! Sailing out of Kotor through a narrow channel, however, was beautiful as the skies lifted. Definitely a place to return to! The staff on Celebrity is always top notch. Dining was consistently delicious. All in all a wonderful trip!

Celebrity Constellation French Riviera Dalmation Coast

October

Pros: This is a great way to taste several European cities while not having to pack up and move hotels every couple of days. I now know what areas I would like to re-visit for longer durations.

Cons: On the rainy days at sea, it can get a little claustrophobic on the boat. While there were several activities going on to entertain the guests, there were just people everywhere.

Recommended: Yes

Our dining staff (Prada, Sabitri and Louie) did and exceptional job getting to know us. They always made sure we had everything we liked. I also want to give a shout out to Erlinda at guest services. We had a problem with our cabin's plumbing and she made sure everything was taken care of promptly and followed up the next couple of days to make sure it stayed taken care of.

October

Pros: Service, cleanliness, friendly staff, abundance of choices in everything catered for all tastes!

Cons: Would be nice to have wall plugs nearer the bed; gym facility seriously lacking in air and cooler air especially if you're trying to work out; no water in the gym area (that I was aware of); track on upper deck far too short and goes past all the smokers! Great Cruise

July

Pros: Excellent service, great ports of call and excursions.

Cons: The ship is showing its age - needs some TLC.

Recommended: Yes

The was our second Celebrity cruise and it was just as great as the first one. The staff and service were excellent; always pleasant and referred to us by name. The cabin was very clean and well maintained but the ship is showing its age - some of the furniture looked worn and the ship overall could use some refurbishing but it was still an enjoyable experience. The food was very good and we did dine in the Sushi 5 restaurant one night and it was excellent. We would recommend this cruise to anyone. The music in the bar areas was very good but the DJ in the Martini Bar area was a bit loud.

Amazing trip to the eastern Med

October

Pros: Perfect sized ship, great ports of call, impeccable service

Cons: Non inclusive, no self service laundry

Recommended: Yes

Overall, we had a amazing time on the cruise. The ship was the perfect size, allowing guests to have a more intimate level of service (as compared to the mega ships). All of the ports of call were amazing (Rome, Athens, and Israel were the highlights for us). We found it amazing that many of the staff members called us by our names throughout the trip....felt like I was wearing a name tag. The only negatives that I can think of (and this is a stretch) is that everything has a cost. We are not frequent cruisers and this was a bit of a surprise, but hey, its vacation so we splurged. The only other thing was that there was no self service laundry and no way to iron our clothes. With the length of our trip, this would have been nice. We turned in a bag of laundry and were quite surprised at the cost to clean the clothes.

She had the Kitchen to prepare the special meals for me. I am Diabetic with restricted Diet from Doctor. My family of five at Table 501 was definately well served by our Waiter Mario and Asst. Waiter Yeshwant. They were very polite , friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Dining experience very much. We also had very good Room Attendant Charles. He always watched out and took care of our needs in Room 7005. .On first day we arrived Charles came in the room to welcome us. We told him about the bed arrangement. We went out to 10th floor Cafe to eat and when we returned the beds were separated into two twins. We were very impressed about Charles.

Mediterranean and Rivieria Cruise

June

Pros: Many friendly and happy staff who appear genuinely passionate about providing a good time to guests

Cons: Professional photos taken by staff were "run of the mill" 5 second jobs which often didn't turn out nice at all.

Recommended: Yes

The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The photographers were unprofessional and made us feel like we were intruding on their time. They often took the photo before everyone was ready and seemed like the photo taking were part of an assembly line operation. A special mention should go to Lailo at Tuscan Grill who also served us on our Alaskan Cruise in 2016 and my family was so happy to reunite with him. Another very dedicated staff, Dexter Washi Washi was fantastic as he was always super happy and often ensured guests were having a good time. Faultless attitude.

Ship Review

June

Pros: Food - Great

Cons: Ice machine always broken in Oceanview Cafe. Missed some of the amenities of a larger ship has.

Recommended: Yes

Our stateroom was not kept clean like all the other cruises we had been on, dirty drink glasses were in our room for days, and when we first got on, in our room we found things that should not have been there. They ran the shore excursions much better since the last time we had been on Celebrity, they were more efficient and didn't waste our time sitting in the Celebrity Theatre.

Almost as good as the Reflection

September

Pros: Excellent service by stateroom and dining staff

Cons: Several omissions made re: registration and credit

Recommended: Yes

Last year on The Reflection my roommate and I were registered with our separate credit cards. This year on the Constellation we had to go to Guest Services the first day to have them separate our accounts as only my credit card was listed.

Good First Experience

February

Pros: Staff, Stateroom

Cons: Food, Activities

Recommended: Yes

Generally, we really enjoyed 'Connie' the staff was friendly and attentive. The room we had was nice and the balcony was a very nice amenity. However I found the food to be less than acceptable. It lacked seasoning, and by the end of the trip was repetitive. The activities started out fun but started to become more of a sales pitch and geared to an older crowd.

Great way to spend 5 nights

February

Pros: Great service and entertainment. Fun activities. Great food in Ocean Liners

Cons: Tuscan Grille was a disappointment.

Recommended: Yes

Other than a marginal experience at the Tuscan Grille everything was great. Tuscan Grille the steak was overcooked as was the spaghetti bolognese. The server never checked back with us after the entrees were delivered. The assistant server was much more helpful durning the course of the meal. The entertainment was top notch including the production shows, the guest entertainers and the various performers in the many venues. We highly recommend this cruise line.

Western Caribbean Cruise for 5 days

January

Pros: Food, entertainment was o.k., help was very professional and helpful.Lots of raffles.

Cons: Our bathroom sink had warm water only and no cold water.

Recommended: Yes

We loved Key West. We took the trolley around town, walked around town, went to the butterfly Conservaory(great!), and saw the Museum of History and Art. Cozemel was many shops where shop owners tried to get you to come into the store to buy diamonds, other stones. and other goods. It was not relaxing. We wished we had booked a tour with Safe Tours Cozumel which a passenger told us about. That was never mentioned in the talk Celebrity gave for excursions. That company offers tours customized to your interests. We would do that tour if we returned. We wished we had checked out tours on the internet which that passenger had done.

Celebrity Constellation

April

Pros: Clean, friendly workers (Francisco, Sebastian, Carina, Marijean). Indoor pool, sauna.

Cons: Deck #2, bad odor, noisy room #2080, one rude person at front desk.

Recommended: No

In general we were satisfied with Celebrity Constellation, clean, workers very friendly, with some exceptions: Front desk one rude person. We have to dine in ONE ONLY restaurant, most others lines offer more than one, except the buffet. I'm not talking about the restaurants you pay extra. Our worst experience was the room change. We had an excellent room on the first leg of trip (We did back to back) and then our nightmare began. The new room was cold, noisy and it is an odor in deck 2 where the room is very strong and very unpleasant. The noise goes on all night and wake up us every single night. Why did Celebrity change our room, I don't have a clue. We asked for a reason and never got a clear answer.
